We have a At Honest Global Logistics, we aim to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient shipping process for our customers. Below are the comprehensive Terms of Transport that outline our responsibilities, customer obligations, and conditions of service.

Liability and Insurance

  • Liability: Honest Global Logistics strives to provide secure and timely transportation for all shipments. However, our liability is limited to the terms outlined in the Bill of Lading or Contract of Carriage. In cases of damage, delay, or loss, the extent of our liability will be based on the value of the goods or the specific terms agreed upon in the shipping contract.
  • Cargo Insurance: While we take every precaution to protect your goods, we recommend purchasing cargo insurance to fully safeguard valuable, sensitive, or high-risk items. Insurance coverage is available for loss, damage, theft, or delay. We offer comprehensive cargo insurance that can be tailored to your shipment’s specific needs.
  • Exclusions: Honest Global Logistics is not liable for damages or delays resulting from force majeure events, such as natural disasters, war, labor strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances outside of our control.

Delivery and Pick-Up Terms

  • Incoterms: We adhere to the internationally recognized Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) to determine the responsibilities of buyers and sellers in international trade. Depending on the agreement between parties, the following terms may apply:
    1. Free on Board (FOB): The seller’s responsibility is to load the goods onto the transport vessel, and the buyer assumes responsibility once the goods are on board. The seller is responsible for the costs and risks up to that point.
    2. Ex Works (EXW): The seller makes the goods available for pick-up at their premises. The buyer assumes all costs and risks once the goods are available for collection.
  • Delivery Times: Delivery timeframes are estimates based on usual circumstances and transportation methods. While we strive for timely delivery, unforeseen delays, including weather conditions, transport strikes, or customs delays, may affect the actual delivery time.
  • Pick-Up and Delivery Terms: Delivery and pick-up schedules are coordinated in advance. If a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address or other customer-related issues, additional charges may apply for re-delivery or rescheduling.

Customs and Documentation

  • Customs Clearance: Honest Global Logistics handles all customs clearance procedures to ensure that your shipment complies with local import/export regulations. We manage all necessary documentation, including:
    1. Bills of Lading
    2. Certificates of Origin
    3. Commercial Invoices
    4. Packing Lists
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all documents are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Duties and Taxes: Any applicable import/export duties, VAT, and tariffs are the responsibility of the consignee (the recipient of the goods). These fees are calculated based on the value, type, and destination of the goods.
  • Customs Delays: Delays caused by customs authorities are not the responsibility of Honest Global Logistics. We will, however, work to resolve any issues swiftly, providing support for documentation and clearing processes.

Payment Terms

  • Advance Payment: For certain shipments, particularly those involving large or special cargo, advance payment may be required. This ensures that the logistics process can begin without delay.
  • Payment Methods: We accept a variety of payment methods:
    1. Bank Transfers
    2. Cheque and DD
    3. Online Payment Platforms
Customers will be invoiced according to the terms agreed upon at the time of booking. Payments are typically due within 30 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise specified.
  • Late Payments: In the event of late payments, Honest Global Logistics reserves the right to impose additional fees or suspend services until the outstanding balance is cleared.

Restrictions on Shipments

  • Hazardous Goods: If you need to ship dangerous goods, please notify us in advance. Special handling, packaging, and documentation are required for such items. All dangerous goods shipments must comply with international IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) or IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that prohibited items are not included in the shipment. Honest Global Logistics reserves the right to reject or cancel shipments containing restricted items.
  • Prohibited Items: Certain items are restricted or prohibited from transport due to legal, safety, or regulatory concerns. These include, but are not limited to:
    1. Hazardous materials (flammable, toxic, corrosive substances)
    2. Illegal goods (contraband, counterfeit products)
    3. Weapons and explosives
    4. Perishable items without appropriate temperature control

Force Majeure

In such events, Honest Global Logistics will take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact on your shipment but will not be held responsible for any resulting delays or costs.
  • Unforeseen Circumstances: We are not liable for any delays, losses, or damages caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
    1. Natural Disasters (earthquakes, floods, storms)
    2. War or Civil Unrest
    3. Labor Strikes or Lockouts
    4. Political Instability
    5. Pandemics or Health Crises

Cancellation and Changes

  • Non-Delivery: In the event of non-delivery due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer, the buyer will be liable for any additional charges or costs incurred.
  • Cancellation: If a shipment is canceled after it has been booked, a cancellation fee may apply. The fee will depend on the specific circumstances, such as the stage of the shipment or transport method.
  • Booking Modifications: Changes to bookings (including delivery dates, transport methods, or route adjustments) can be made with prior notice. Additional charges may apply depending on the timing and nature of the changes.

Claims and Disputes

  • Damage or Loss: If goods are damaged or lost during transit, the claimant must submit a formal claim within a specified time frame (usually 30 days from the date of delivery). All claims are subject to the terms outlined in the Bill of Lading or transport contract.
  • Dispute Resolution: In the case of any disputes arising from transportation services, we will first attempt to resolve the matter through mediation. If unresolved, disputes may be handled under the jurisdiction specified in our contract.
